We had never heard of this less crowded national park until a few days before we visited, and now we believe this could easily be one of the best national parks in America! The hiking in Lassen is top-notch, but is Bumpass Hell one of Lassen’s attractions? And did you even know that this underrated national park has a hydrothermal area that is like a miniature version of one in Yellowstone?
