In this Nepal food vlog, we bring you with us to a tasting of authentic Nepal Dal Bhat Takari in Pokhara! This dish is made up of rice, lentils, and vegetables. The rice is usually boiled with spices such as turmeric, cumin, and coriander. The lentils are cooked in a spicy curry sauce. The vegetables are then added to the mix and cooked until tender. The final dish is served with a side of pickles, chutney, and achar (a type of spicy condiment). This dish is usually accompanied by a side of yogurt or curd and some fresh herbs.
